Chocolate truffles are a naughty treat

Chocolate is perfect during Christmas, but nothing is more decadent than eating chocolate truffles. Delicious little balls of luxurious balls of goodness. “Balls of goodness”… I think I may need to copyright that! Even though I love buying various different truffles throughout the year, there is 适合撸管的视频 super satisfying about making your own. And you may be surprised with how simple they are to make. These chocolate truffles are most definitely a naughty treat for yourself or to give as a gift.

Milk or dark chocolate?

When it comes to the type of chocolate to use while making chocolate truffles, the main question is – Milk or dark chocolate? Well, it honestly depends on your personal preference. For me, I really enjoy making my mine with a 50/55% dark chocolate. The percentage really adds a certain rich flavour to the final result. If making them for children, milk chocolate may be preferred to cut down on the bitterness. Of course, 70% chocolate can also be used if you want 适合撸管的视频 super strong. But as mentioned above, it really comes down to personal preference!

Equipment I use

To make these tasty chocolate truffles, all you need is a bowl (or a pan if you’re doing the cream heating method), a container to put the chocolate mixture into, as well as a tray to place all of your finished truffles. For the container, I find using an 8 x 8 tray a lot easier because it makes getting the chocolate out quicker. However, using a bowl is also fine if you do not have one. One thing that I would highly recommend though for making them is a pair of gloves. Because chocolate melts at body temperature, rolling the chocolate balls in your hands will be very, very, VERY messy. You can pick them up really easily from any pharmacy or health store.

Chocolate fudge that’s easy to make

During the festive season, I love making a wide variety of homemade goods. From cookies to cupcakes, the options are endless. And this chocolate fudge is so simple to make. In no time, you’ll have a delicious treat to put into boxes (or festive bags) to give to friends and family. They’ll be so impressed with how decadent the chocolate fudge tastes. What’s great about the fudge, is that you can change it for different occasions. Want it for valentines day? Add some dried-strawberries and heart-shaped sprinkles on top! My favourite time to make fudge though is Christmas. So for me, I always go with Christmas sprinkles!

How many ingredients?!

You may be shocked to find out how many ingredients this chocolate fudge uses. Three. Yes, you heard me right, three. The only ingredients you need to make this super simple 小视频啪啪 is condensed milk, good quality chocolate, and butter. Of course, if you want to flavour it, you can add a little dash of flavouring, but I find it to be perfect without. When it comes to the choice of chocolate, I enjoy using milk chocolate, but 55% or 70% chocolate also works really well if you want 适合撸管的视频 on the darker side. Even though making the base fudge uses only three ingredients, you can also use extra toppings such as dried fruit, sprinkles, or even nuts. The choice is up to you!

Equipment I use

Delicious, fresh chocolate fudge

The equipment that I use is fairly straight forward. An 8 x 8-inch tin, a pan to melt all the ingredients down, and a spatula to stir everything. An extra tool that I find super helpful in making this fudge is an offset pallet knife as it really helps to smooth the mixture in the tin. But if you don’t have one, don’t worry, using the spatula will still work fine. You can also melt everything down in 30-second bursts in the microwave if you prefer, but I find it easier to just melt everything in the pan (plus I always get SUPER paranoid about melting a large number of ingredients in the microwave… don’t ask).

Whenever it comes to making bread, I always get super paranoid. Like, what if I didn’t activate my yeast properly? Did I let my dough rest enough to rise? So many questions… questions that I’d rather not be asking myself. That is where this soda bread comes in. This super simple loaf is quick to make and tastes delicious. What’s great is that you can make this soda bread plain or add several different additions, like dried fruits and peel for a 小视频啪啪er version, or cheese, nuts, and herbs for a more savoury style. No yeast bread

One of my favourite things about this soda bread is the fact that it requires no yeast. That means you do not need to wait around for the yeast to activate. You also don’t need to let it rise which can take time. You simply just need to mix all the ingredients together, form it and bake it. How simple is that? But I hear you asking, how does this bread get its delicious rise? Well, that comes from the chemical reaction between the baking soda and buttermilk. When the buttermilk bakes together with baking powder, bubbles form which creates a lift, resulting in a fluffy bread.

As you can imagine, the equipment I use for making this soda bread is little to none. All you need is a bowl to mix everything in as well as a tray to put the loaf in the oven. A knife is also a great tool here for “cutting” the dough. And that’s it! I honestly believe you will be amazed at how quick this tasty bread is to make. Who doesn’t love nice, fluffy pancakes? But what happens if you’re craving one for breakfast during the busy work week? Who has time for focus on preparing the batter, flipping and serving the pancakes… it takes far too much time. Well no problem, just shove everything into a tray and bake it! That’s right, this delicious fluffy pancake traybake is a must-have for your midweek pancake cravings. What’s great is that you can mix and match what you add to it. Personally, I love adding a few dollops of jam as well as some super 小视频啪啪, spicy biscoff spread. But you can add whatever you want! Honestly, you’ll be surprised with how delicious this pancake traybake is.

What to serve with pancake traybake?

Over the past few 小视频啪啪s, whenever I have pancakes, I’ve stuck to a healthy option. This traybake version is no different. These are super 小视频啪啪 by themselves, but if you enjoy things on the 小视频啪啪er side, a bit of powder (or icing) sugar go well with them. But I find that having a good spoonful of greek yoghurt and some fruit goes really well. I am super addicted to strawberries, so they are my go-to. Are you ready to find out what equipment I use and how easy this pancake traybake is? All you need is a whisk, a bowl, and a dish to put them in the oven with. Simple, right? As for the size of the dish, I personally go with an 8-inch brownie square tin, but anything on the medium side should work fine. I find that using a whisk for this pancake traybake really therapeutic, but if you have an electric whisk or stand mixer, you can naturally use it to speed things up.

Fluffy potato scones

As a Scottish woman, I adore my roots when it comes to food. Give me haggis, neeps, and tatties any day of the week! But another big “yes” are delicious, fluffy, tattie scones – or potato scones. They are an essential addition to any Scottish breakfast. Lashing of baked beans, beautiful crispy bacon, and a fried egg on top of a tattie scone. I’m drooling just thinking about it! Since I live in the Netherlands, potato scones do not exist here, I know… it’s shocking! But to my relief, these tasty savoury delights are super simple to make.

Delicious homemade Scottish Breakfast

Make potato scones in batches, perfect for freezing!

What’s great about this recipe is that you will make 16, perfect for freezing. What I always do when I make a batch is I use about 2 of them (1 for me, 1 for hubby), and freeze the rest. There are two simple ways of doing this. One is by putting a tray into the freezer with the potato scones lined up on top of baking paper (or flour). Once frozen, these can be put into bags and stored for later use. Alternatively, you can place the potato scones onto baking paper and stack them on top of each other. This is my preferred method, mainly because my freezer is super tiny!

The way I stack them for my freezer bags is by simple baking paper, 2 potato scones, baking paper, 2 potato scones, rinse and repeat. I can fill 2 freezer bags this way with a max 8 in one and 6 in the other. And when the time comes to cook them up, you can do this straight from frozen, you don’t need to dethaw them at all! Try these potato scones today and find out for yourself why Scotland love their tattie scones!

As a final note, since I know a lot of people who are vegan or gluten-intolerant would love to try this recipe, you can easily replace the butter for any form of vegan butter, and the flour for gluten-free flour. For vegans, you can also use coconut oil that has been refined. You shouldn’t use other versions because you don’t have “coconut flavoured potato scones”… (although to some people, that might be tasty)! If you try vegan or gluten-free versions, let me know how they turn out!

Equipment I use (And a tip!)

Everything you need for potato scones

Making these potato scones required very little. All you need is a pot to boil and mash the potatoes, and a pan to cook them. A spatula also helps in mixing the ingredients all together. Using a spatula also helps if you have dough getting stuck to your work surface. For the flour, you should use a sift to make it super fine, however, a whisk can also create the same results. If you have a dough scraper, this also helps separate and scrape the dough. And that’s really it!

Here is a top tip for quickly “mashing” your potatoes. I have seen on several places that they recommend a potato ricer, as this creates more air, resulting in a more fluffy potato scone. I do agree with this, but not everyone has one – including me! So my thought was, why not just push the soft potatoes through the sift? It works just the same way, and when everything is pushed through, you’ll have perfectly airy mashed potatoes, simple!

What better way to celebrate Halloween than with some delicious chocolate and banana cupcakes. These cupcakes are so simple to make and are incredibly moist. I love them. What’s also great is the super simple chocolate spiderweb icing. Who can say no to a nice crunchy chocolatey topping? No one, that’s who! They are super fun to make, and I’m sure if you have children, they will have a blast recreating the spiderwebs on top. You can even create a bit of a production line. Someone to put the first layer of chocolate on top, the next person creating the chocolate lines, and the last person recreating the all-important “spiderweb” look. There is nothing better than indulging in these spiderweb chocolate and banana cupcakes.

Great use of overripe bananas

These chocolate and banana cupcakes are another fantastic way of using up those overripe bananas. I love finding new ways of using up this delicious fruit, be it within my banana bread or my ultimate banana muffins. But these cupcakes feel somewhat naughty. I mean, you’re combining two incredible flavours! Of course, you can put various other fillings inside, including some nuts, chocolate chips, or even raisins if you want. The choices are endless!

Equipment I use

Realistically, the only equipment you need to make these super quick chocolate and banana cupcakes is a bowl and spatula to mix everything. A whisk can also be used, and I would probably recommend one over a spatula initially, so the mixture is light and aerated. Another helpful tool (and.. I say tool lightly) is a toothpick. This will help you greatly when creating the spiderweb on top of the cupcake. As well as this, a piping bag with a small tip is also helpful for “drawing” the rings on top more accurately.

Red Velvet Cupcakes + Monster = Instant spooky!

Want to scare and impress your family and friends? Then these spooky red velvet monster cupcakes are just the thing you need to make! Perfectly moist, deliciously red, and terrifying. I adore making red velvet cupcakes whenever I can, and these definitely do not disappoint. At some point soon, I will add my regular recipe for red velvet cupcakes (watch this space), however not much has changed between the two. The major difference comes from the decorating. With my standard cupcakes, I use a delicious cream cheese frosting with extra cupcake crumbs for topping. But with my spooky red velvet monster cupcakes, this frosting turns black with the addition of good quality food gel.

Another fantastic addition to my spooky red velvet monster cupcakes is the scary sugar-eyes that I add on top of the black frosting. You can get creative with this because you can add as many or as few as you want. Do you want just one big eye on top? Go for it! Want lots of little eyes glaring at your guests from every angle? That is also doable! Personally, for me, I like having small sugar eyes on top of my monster cakes, between 4 – 6. However, if I use smaller eyes, I would add about 8 – 10. Nothing says spooky like lots of little tiny eyes 男上女下啪啪啪视频 at you!

Equipment I use for my Red Velvet Cupcakes

The essential piece of equipment I use for making these spooky treats are piping bags! These are a must-have in any kitchen. However, you can also use a sandwich bag and cut the corner out. Will also work, so long as you don’t push too hard! As for the type of piping bag, I actually prefer using the “one use” ones. Who wants to mess around with cleaning piping bags? Not me! Of course, if you have an easy way of cleaning nylon style bags, go for it! You are the creator of your frosting adventure. For the piping tip, I use a medium star-tip, as I find this creates the easiest topping (plus it’s pretty)!

A stand mixer (or medium bowl and hand-mixer/whisk), and a spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowls also helps. As always, my trusty ice cream scoop that I use for everything helps a lot!

As a major lover of everything Italian food, this mushroom and cheese spaghetti is out of this world. It is a known fact to many that I am a big lover of Italian. Be it pizza, pasta, lasagne, focaccia… I could go on. I am a massive lover of carbonara, and whenever I go to an Italian restaurant, this is more often than not the choice I make, alongside some garlic bread. Yum! So when I decided to create this dish, I knew I was onto a winner. Not only do I love spaghetti, especially wholegrain, but I LOVE mushrooms. Little precious jewels of the earth. It’s a shame that there are people who really detest taste. Though I am a strong believer that they have not tried good quality mushrooms and those that have been cooked correctly. I am sure this mushroom and cheese spaghetti may change their mind!

Another aspect of this meal that I adore is the cheesy, gooey sauce. Oh boy… I had some ideas when it came to this sauce. I originally thought that I could get away with just using a little bit of cornstarch with some water and melted cheese but… it didn’t really turn out the way I wanted. So I thought, “why not just make a roux and add cheese”? Which I did, and it worked out super well! As with any roux, this involves using butter, flour, and cold milk. Getting this correct isn’t too hard, but you really need to pay attention. A lumpy roux is an unhappy roux! And once you add the cheese, you’re in for a delicious meal!

Extra additions to the mushroom and cheese spaghetti

While the base of this dish is really tasty with a bit of salt and pepper, adding a few extras is always welcome. For example, with the mushrooms, sauteing some garlic really brings that extra taste sensation in your mouth. With the spaghetti, I added a handful of courgetti which just adds a nice green colour pop (and courgette is really good for you). You can also add some fresh herbs together with the sauce, for example, some parsley or chives add a hint of freshness.

Equipment I use

For my mushroom and cheese spaghetti, I use a frying pan for the mushrooms, a normal size pan for the spaghetti, and a pan for the roux/sauce. When I made this for pictures, I actually made the sauce in my deep dish Le Creuset pan… I wish I didn’t. Cause god, I thought the roux was not going to form without lumps… There was SO much surface to cover! Thankfully it was fine, so if you accidentally use a large pan for the sauce, it won’t be the end of the world. But do like I did not, and use a pan for the sauce, will make your life so much easier. For the recipe, I will add the extras (i.e. the garlic and courgetti) because I honestly think I wouldn’t want to eat this mushroom and cheese spaghetti without it!

Whenever I want to eat 适合撸管的视频 小视频啪啪 alongside a tea or coffee, a biscuit is always a winner. But if I have chocolate chip cookies in the house, then by god they are the first choice! Chocolate chip cookies are by far one of my guilty pleasures. From the crumbly ones from the store to the chewy gooey ones that you find in shops such as Millie’s Cookies, cookies are just incredible. As much as I hate to admit it, I don’t make them too often. But when I do, I go ham. I make LOADS. That way, they last me a while before my next cookie baking craving. These guilty pleasure chocolate chip cookies a must-try for anyone who loves to bake!

Chocolate chips or chocolate chunks?

A bit question that comes up when making chocolate chip cookies is whether you should use chocolate chips or chocolate chunks. When it comes to the type of chocolate I use for my cookies, it depends on the mood I’m in. If I want 适合撸管的视频 just super quick without too much extra work, I will always go for a semi-小视频啪啪 chocolate chip. These are the classic chocolate to use for a good ol’ cookie. However, if I have some in the house, chopping up some good-quality dark chocolate into chunks is perfect. A really handy tip for making matching sized cookies is using an ice cream scoop. Muffins, cupcakes, doesn’t matter what I’m baking, I live by using my ice cream scoop! Though with this recipe, I use 2 tablespoons worth of mixture because I like them on the smaller side. But, ice cream scoop will still work fine! Even though using a stand mixer will naturally make things quicker, using a handheld electric mixer or even a regular whisk will be fine. It is worth it to invest in a stand mixer though! They are super versatile and will help you do things while you let it do all the work for you.

I have always been a chocolate lover. Always have, always will. I am also a huge fan of muffins. There are so many choices to choose from! Blueberry, chocolate, raspberry filled cream cheese gooey delicious….. maybe I’m running away with myself a little. Point is, I love muffins and chocolate. So why not combine the two of these beauties to create the most scrumptious experience? That’s when my double chocolate chip muffins became a reality. If you are a chocolate lover like myself, these tasty treats should not be missed!

Perfecting my double chocolate chip muffins

It took me a few goes to get the exact amounts correct. With the first batch, I added a bit too many chocolate chips (yes, that can happen), creating some hard spots within the muffin that made them not so good. With the second batch, I changed the amount of chocolate chips I used, making them perfect… but I added a little too much liquid. Curses! They tasted good but I wanted a more springy muffin. And thus we arrive at my perfect double chocolate chip muffin. Beautifully moist but not too wet, crumbly with the perfect spread out chocolate chips. They are to die for!

Equipment I use

For the equipment I use, I especially love using my Le Creuset muffin tin when creating these in order to keep their form. Normal muffin tins work too, but the handles of the Le Creuset one is 适合撸管的视频 I enjoy immensely. Apart from this, even though I can easily make this in my handy stand mixer, just using a simple bowl and mixing spoon does the trick easily. Just like I do with my banana muffins, I enjoy making these double chocolate chip muffins in pretty kraft paper cups. But if I don’t have them on hand, just some regular good quality muffin liners do the trick just fine.
